My one year anniversary owning a beautiful 2007 Ivory Pearl Infiniti G35x a.k.a Nissan Skyline 350GT.
I've always dreamed of owning one. Funny thing, the opportunity presented itself when my boyfriend bought an '03 Obsidian Black G35. After that I was hooked, I loved the power, the RWD, the grip, the feel of how grounded the car was and most of all--the speed. It was the car that I was taught how to drive, from then on I vowed that I will someday own one for myself...
Well, who would of thought...my first car would be an Infiniti...I bought it before my scheduled G2 test...and took it on my test and boy, did it feel good!
It's my daily driver, something that I rely on to take me places. I don't drive just to get to point A to point B, I drive it because I love driving, I love the feel of it, I love the smoothness and I love saying, "yea, that's my car."
Anyways, a few months back, I've decided to take it to the next level, I wanted to mod my car. I know, I know, it already looks pretty good stock...but c'mon, she needed to be lowered ASAP!
Oh, hi there, Tiger :)
I decided to go with the Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs. The drop in front is approx. 1.4" and the rear is approx. 1.2". I would have liked to drop it a bit lower, but having it use ATTESA E-TS AWD system, it prevented me from dropping it further. (Or else my splash guard will drag on the ground) I'm still thrilled with the results when it settled in.
BEFORE:
That is too high for my liking...
You can fit a shoe in between...whaaat?
AFTER:
excellent..
So, how's the ride? It's definitely bumpier and much more stiff. I don't mind it at all, not even one bit, it makes it feel like a rally car...sometimes ;p
The handling...wow...it was good before but after lowering my G, the handling does not compare to what it was before..it has much better grip and cornering was a easy, but now its a breeze.
If you own a car...LOWER IT!
I know this is a long post..but I one last little mod I did..very simple but makes it look JDM!
After-market JDM mesh grille...oh baby..;)
Until next time...
