{auto} the tuning begins...

My one year will be coming up. One year for what?
My one year anniversary owning a beautiful 2007 Ivory Pearl Infiniti G35x a.k.a Nissan Skyline 350GT.

I've always dreamed of owning one. Funny thing, the opportunity presented itself when my boyfriend bought an '03 Obsidian Black G35. After that I was hooked, I loved the power, the RWD, the grip, the feel of how grounded the car was and most of all--the speed. It was the car that I was taught how to drive, from then on I vowed that I will someday own one for myself...

Well, who would of thought...my first car would be an Infiniti...I bought it before my scheduled G2 test...and took it on my test and boy, did it feel good!

It's my daily driver, something that I rely on to take me places. I don't drive just to get to point A to point B, I drive it because I love driving, I love the feel of it, I love the smoothness and I love saying, "yea, that's my car."

Anyways, a few months back, I've decided to take it to the next level, I wanted to mod my car. I know, I know, it already looks pretty good stock...but c'mon, she needed to be lowered ASAP!

                                                                    Oh, hi there, Tiger :)
I decided to go with the Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs. The drop in front is approx. 1.4" and the rear is approx. 1.2". I would have liked to drop it a bit lower, but having it use ATTESA E-TS AWD system, it prevented me from dropping it further. (Or else my splash guard will drag on the ground) I'm still thrilled with the results when it settled in.
                                                                          BEFORE:
That is too high for my liking...
You can fit a shoe in between...whaaat?

AFTER:
excellent..

So, how's the ride? It's definitely bumpier and much more stiff. I don't mind it at all, not even one bit, it makes it feel like a rally car...sometimes ;p
The handling...wow...it was good before but after lowering my G, the handling does not compare to what it was before..it has much better grip and cornering was a easy, but now its a breeze.

If you own a car...LOWER IT!

I know this is a long post..but I one last little mod I did..very simple but makes it look JDM!
After-market JDM mesh grille...oh baby..;)

Until next time...

[Haul] Accessories

I went shopping yesterday...I really shouldn't be shopping...trying to save money to go to the states and shop there!! But I can't help it...I'm the biggest impulse shopper ever. Ever. :(

Anyways, I picked up a few accessories...I thought they'd be perfect to spice up and outfit or just good for spring/summer time.

I really like this one because I thought it'd be able to spice up an outfit; just a plain tee or tank, it's also really edgy looking which I'm kinda into at the moment.
When I saw this, I thought it was the cutest thing ever! I has the cutest little bow, pearl and a small golden heart attached to it. When I have it around my neck, every movement it makes a noise...it's weird I like the sound it makes when the pearl and the little heart clang together with everything else..lol I don't know if it's just me :P

Next I got some hair accessories, I thought these flower hair ties are the cutest things, it looks really cute it you put your hair up in a top knot(the flower will add a softness/cutesy look to it) or a bun..whichever. I adore the pink one the most..just 'cause it's my favorite colour. haha

Aaannnd, I got these hair clips, just got them just because they have little flowers on them...great for summer! ;p

That's all I hauled for accessories yesterday..oh but I also got two pairs of shorts! They were cheap too ;)

[Life/Haul] Dinner party dress

Whoo! Two posts in one day!
On Saturday May 14 2011, my boyfriend and I attended GDC's 50th anniversary dinner party. I thought I knew what I wanted to wear...but then I was told by my Mother that it wasn't 'fancy' enough >:( I had two options:
I got this dress from American Apparel, it's a very nice form fitting dress. I was thinking of pairing it with a nice braided belt around the waist and a pair of nude pumps.
OR

This dress I recently got from Urban Trade. It's a very cute summer dress. I was trying to find something in my closet that would fit 'fancy' so that I'd save a little bit of money...but no such luck. I had to go shopping ASAP.
I was torn between two dresses..one would burn a huge hole through my wallet or the other one was was simple & plain and it was a reasonable price.
But...if you know me...I'm not very reasonable when it comes to shopping for special occasions...(aka my prom dress...spent a fortune and only wore it once..I will never learn will I? = =;;)
So here's the dress I finally ended up buying :)

Final look:
With my pointed nude Guess heels

Wow, this is a really long blog post I've ever made! Now onto my haul! (it basically falls in with the post because on the search of my dress I found these items too)
found this really cute summer dress, it's nice and light and breezy ;p
ohohoho enough with the dresses...I found shoeessss!
I've wanted gladiators for quite some time now...and I finally found a pair ! I found these babies at a discounted shoe store...YES TO CHEAP SHOES! <3
Look at these babes. I freaking loovvveee them! They're so comfy too! BONUS! My lovely boyfriend bought these for me as a gift<3 Can't wait for the rainy week to be over so I can whip these babies out with a summer dress..hehehe exciteedd.

Well that was a long post, that's all I have for y'all!

[Life] Reason why I've been M.I.A.

To be honest, I've been dealing with life lately. I've come to realize who my real friends are and who are not.
I thought I was close to someone but lately that person has been driving me insane!
Have you ever experienced when talking to someone you call your "friend" and they seem like they're listening but in reality they're actually not? Or how about they call you when they're bored just because you're available to talk when no one else is. That is annoying. Honestly, if you have nothing to say to me don't call me. It's ridiculous how people use other people because they can't find anything else to do but to waste one's time.
Anyways, that was my little rant. Blowing off some steam, no biggie.

Moving on, I've also been very busy with work, hours started picking up for Christmas time all the way until March break. I've been meaning to get back on here in April but never really got around to it...I've been busy caring for my lovely animals. During that time, my boyfriend and I adopted a new kitty, his name is Leo:
He's a cutie! But also a very bad boy :c
Lastly, I was also planning out my tattoo, I was stressing out with the font...but in the end it all turned out perfectly...I'll post pictures up soon when the swelling goes down :p

HAUL: Sephora, Wal-Mart & HautLook

Went to Sephora today mainly to get Kat Von D's liquid liner, but I did not end up getting it because turns out it's not waterproof.

Let me tell you, my eyes water A LOT, I need waterproof everything, honestly. I need waterproof mascaras, pencil liners, liquid liners & gel liners.

So I was kind of disappointed that they were not waterproof, I've read good reviews about her liners. Buuut, fortunately, I found Makeup Forever's Waterproof Liquid Liner. Apparently that's the only waterproof liquid liner sephora carries...
I also grabbed the professional sized UDPP, SO HAPPY THEY HAVE IT.  I don't have to cut open my UDPP bottle now C:
Afterwards, I went to Wal-Mart to pick up some Goody Spin Pins, I have recently discovered them and wanted to try them out for myself. And believe me...they work. They claim that with only two spin pins it'll replace approx.10-15 bobby pins.

threw hair up in a quick bun - only used the two spin pins and surprisingly it's VERY secured.

I also bought Burt's Bees lip balm & EOS lip balm in "summer fruit" - favorite lip balms ever !

My order from HautLook finally came in, I've always wanted to try Vincent Longo. So I ordered a Wet Diamond Shadow in "Libertango" and a Virgin - Lux Lip Gloss in "Prismalite"

I'm kind of disappointed with the shadow because I didn't notice a significant difference when applied wet or dry. The lip gloss on the other hand is great, very moisturizing and it smells like hot chocolate, yumm~

DIY: Gradiant nails

I did my nails the other day, it's very quick and simple. Very easy to do.
I used:

  • Caroline Nail Lacquer in "Disco Queen"
(I don't remember where I bought this nail polish, it's been a long time >< I found it while I was cleaning my room.) Anyways, I just took off the excess polish by brushing it along the rim of the bottle and painted it on lightly. I covered a little bit more than half.

  • China Glaze in 662 "Cowgirl Up"
I put this color near the tip of my nails, only covering half of the light purple. This color is much darker than the Caroline "Disco Queen". So what I did was took some of the "Disco Queen" and applied it over top of the "Cowgirl Up" so that it blends more nicely.

  • Cover Girl Boundless Color in "Disco Dazzle" & "City Lights"
I used these two to cover up any mistakes or any obvious color transitions.

Quick and Simple. c:

88 palette - warm, shimmer & matte

I had recently ordered 3 palettes from eBay. Yes, they're just like the Costal Scents but they're much much cheaper! It's because they have the same manufacturer which ships them out to different cosmetic companies.

Anyways, I was so excited to have received them in the mail. I'm impressed with how pigmented they are and how vibrant some of the colors are when you apply them.

matte 88 :
Such a big variety of colors, it makes it difficult to put together a look because there are so many options.

warm 88:
I AM IN LOVE WITH THIS ONE. Whenever I am in a rush or just want a simple neutral/natural look, I go to this warm 88. So many shades of browns, grays, blacks, even purple-ish taupe-y colors.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

shimmer 88:
Not my everyday kinda palette...but it's still very pigmented and shimmery. I like to mix this palette with the matte one because I like to add a touch of shimmer to some of my looks. C:
